Week 9, Thing 23

I have made it through! There is a lot of technology out there that I knew nothing about. Some I have heard of but didn't know how to use. Some I learned about and can use. I want to continue to go through some of the "Things" so that I will feel more comfortable using them. Some of them I want to learn how to use but need more time to understand it.

This is definitely a great class to take. However, you definitely need someone around that can help you through it. I was able to call Bess when I needed explanations. She would log onto her computer (in the same place I was) and help talk me through several things.

I plan to continue exploring and learning.

Week 9, Thing 22

I used LibriVox to look up a book that my daughter had checked out at the library (Jane Eyre). I could access it at home but the AISD filter would not let me access it at school. The computer was a little slow in opening the mp3 files.

Week 9, Thing 21

Finally!

I accessed the Education Podcast Network. I listened to a podcast report from a 4th grader who explained why he wanted to visit New Orleans.

Week 9, Thing 21

Tried to check out the Yahoo: What is a podcast tutorial, but was unable to access it. Still trying to learn about podcasts.

Also unable to access podcast.net.

Week 9, Thing 20

I have explored Teacher Tube. I found a cute fraction video. It is more than my students needs but cute anyway. I am having trouble putting it on my blog. However, I am still trying. I may have to try again tomorrow.

Week 9, Thing 20

Sometimes learning by experience is a lot easier than learning by reading. I know my son has worked with YouTube uploading projects but since he isn't here while I am working on this I guess I'll need to learn by reading.

Week 8, Thing 19

This week was definitely one of the easiest weeks for me. I love the Library Thing! People recomment books to read but I forget it if I don't write it down. Now I can put it in my library and don't have to worry about forgetting the name of the book or the author or losing the piece of paper that I wrote it on.
