I have made it through! There is a lot of technology out there that I knew nothing about. Some I have heard of but didn't know how to use. Some I learned about and can use. I want to continue to go through some of the "Things" so that I will feel more comfortable using them. Some of them I want to learn how to use but need more time to understand it.
This is definitely a great class to take. However, you definitely need someone around that can help you through it. I was able to call Bess when I needed explanations. She would log onto her computer (in the same place I was) and help talk me through several things.
I plan to continue exploring and learning.

Week 9, Thing 22
I used LibriVox to look up a book that my daughter had checked out at the library (Jane Eyre). I could access it at home but the AISD filter would not let me access it at school. The computer was a little slow in opening the mp3 files.
Week 9, Thing 21
Finally!
I accessed the Education Podcast Network. I listened to a podcast report from a 4th grader who explained why he wanted to visit New Orleans.

Week 9, Thing 21
Tried to check out the Yahoo: What is a podcast tutorial, but was unable to access it. Still trying to learn about podcasts.
Also unable to access podcast.net.

Week 9, Thing 20
I have explored Teacher Tube. I found a cute fraction video. It is more than my students needs but cute anyway. I am having trouble putting it on my blog. However, I am still trying. I may have to try again tomorrow.
Week 9, Thing 20
Sometimes learning by experience is a lot easier than learning by reading. I know my son has worked with YouTube uploading projects but since he isn't here while I am working on this I guess I'll need to learn by reading.
Week 8, Thing 19
This week was definitely one of the easiest weeks for me. I love the Library Thing! People recomment books to read but I forget it if I don't write it down. Now I can put it in my library and don't have to worry about forgetting the name of the book or the author or losing the piece of paper that I wrote it on.
Week 8, Thing 18
Well . . . This is something that I understood. I could't get my laptop to open Zoho Writer but I could open Google Docs. I really like this. I can see this coming in handy! Sometimes I forget that I typed a document at home instead of at school.

Week 7, Thing 17
I will need to get with Jen or Shirley to figure out how to add an entry to the Sand Box. I put in my user name and password, but then it asks me for a password / invite key.
Week 7, Thing 16
Wikis
If I understand correctly it sounds like this would be a good thing to work on class projects. As busy as everyone is they can compile their information on a wiki for all (in the group) to see each other's input on the project.

Week 6, Thing 15
The copyright video was wonderful! It definitely took some time!
This whole week has been overwhelming to me. I know there are lots of things to use. My brain is on overload right now. It takes me a while to process new things. I have to play with it some more and use it before I even feel comfortable with it.

Week 6, Things 13 & 14
VERY OVERWHELMING!!!
Del.icio.us sounds like a wonderful tool for me. I can't remember where to find something if I haven't written it down. Now I just need to learn how to use it.
Technorati is interesting. You can search lots of blogs for any topic imaginable.

Week 5, Things 11 & 12
Rollyo was very confusing. I am not sure how to use it. I still need to explore it.

Week 5, Thing #10
Well, I tackled the online image generator. I put a picture that was taken of my two children while we were in Washington, D.C. It was pretty cool!
Week #4, Thing 9
Well I was finally able to post my RSS feeds onto my blog. We have been out of state and very busy for the past month. Now I am back so I can get to work again.

Week 4, #8
I have set up my google reader account. Now I am trying to post the feed on my blog. I haven't accomplished this yet, but I hope to soon!

Week 3, #5, 6, & 7

I just decided to upload a picture of my son's pant leg that he chose to paint while at school in art class.
I had seen Flickr used by a coworker of mine. It was a neat way to share pictures.
I have recently discovered Smilebox. I have created a couple of albums that I have sent to our relatives. It is a great way to share pictures.
Week 1, #1 & 2
Well . . . I forgot to post about week 1. The hardest habit that I see for myself is Habit 3. The easiest for me is Habit 1.
Week 2, #3
Adding the Avatar was easy once I figured out how to move around on the page through trial and error. My children are not in town to help me out.
